Master of Science in Institute of Community Health Care:

Now recruiting 4 international students. 

 

 

How many credit hours should  I  have?

 

  • During the two-year program, students complete 30 credit hours. 

 

Should I worry about the language in  class?

 

  • Courses are taught in English by Institute faculty members or by faculty through the University’s International Health Program.

 

Courses include:

  • Community health assessment and diagnosis
  • Health program planning and evaluation
  • Health and nursing theory
  • Research and statistical methods
  • Health behavior and promotion
  • Case management

 

More information: 

 

  • The first year focuses on core coursework and community-based practicum under direction of English-speaking faculty members.
  • All students complete a community health assessment practicum in their first semester and a case management practicum in their second semester.
  • Students design and implement a supervised, student-led research project in the second year, which results in a publishable thesis.
  • Students select elective courses from across the University’s highly-regarded health and health science programs, including the International Health Program
